The board is comprised of seven members; one from each commission district; one who has qualifications demonstrating knowledge in the care of and supervision of exotic animals; one representative of a society for the prevention of cruelty to animals. Members are appointed by the County Commission to a four-year term and may serve unlimited terms.

State law requires that each public at-large member of the Debt Management Commission must have a knowledge of its financial structure and at least 5 years of experience in the field of public administration, public accounting or banking. Please briefly describe or highlight experience that satisfies those requirements. A combination of experiences in those fields will satisfy the requirement. The existing members of the Debt Management Commission will appoint two public at-large members after determining the minimum qualifications have been met.
The mission of the Organizational Effectiveness Committee is to share knowledge and best practices to build a better Washoe County organization. The OEC encourages constructive discussion on the role and responsibilities of local government in our changing world, and advises the County on implementing needed strategic changes.
The existing membership of the Organizational Effectiveness Committee includes one representative from the County Commission; the County Manager; and seven "at-large" members from the private or not-for-profit sector and five Commissioner appointees and one representative of the Washoe County employee bargaining units.
The Washoe County Organizational Effectiveness committee meets the first Wednesday of every month, 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., at the Washoe County Administration Complex, 1001 E. Ninth.
