Washoe County officials deposited $3 million into an escrow account this week in fulfillment of a settlement reached in 2006 with Evans Creek, LLC to preserve pristine open space adjacent to the Sierra Nevada mountain range immediately following the completion of an appraisal of the property by agreed-upon appraisers.
