The Mission of Washoe County Senior Services is to assist older adults in the community to maintain independence, dignity, and quality in their lives and that of their caregivers, through the provision of an array of direct and indirect social and health services and opportunities they may utilize to achieve their goals.
Available programs at Senior Services Include:
Benefit Assistance - Assistance with applications and answers to questions regarding available resources in the community
Daybreak - group care during the day (M-F) in a safe, comfortable invironment for adults with disabilities (18+)

Homemaker Program
Legal Assistance - provides free legal aid for Washoe County senior citizens, emphasizes issues concerning basic needs, such as housing, health, and government benefits, but also focuses on independent living, elder rights and life planning.

Nutrition - daily (M-F) meals provided at four senior centers and six satellite sites; home delivered meals; assessment and screening; and nutrition education. If you wish to refer someone for the Home Delivered Meal Program, please click here for the referral request, print it, fill it out and either fax it to 775-325-8025 or bring it in to either the Reno or the Sparks Senior Center, Social Services office.
