Washoe County Department of Social Services – Adult Division provides assistance with the payment of medical bills, financial assistance and case management services to eligible Washoe County residents. Programs include:
Health Care Assistance Program
- Hospital
- Clinic
- Treatment Authorization Requests (Provider Information)
- Adult Group Care
- Extended Care Facility
- Burial/Cremation
Community Programs:
Applicants must apply in person at the Washoe County Department of Social Services - Adult Division located in the Washoe County Administrative offices at:

Applications are accepted between the hours of 7:15am - 11:30am and 12:30pm – 3:45pm on a first come first serve basis. Applicants are prescreened to determine potential eligibility, scheduled for an interview if potentially eligible and given a list of items to bring back to the interview.
