• Truckee River Flood Project (TRFP) - The Truckee River Flood Project is a joint effort between the cities of Reno and Sparks, Washoe County, the US Army Corps of Engineers and numerous stakeholders. The project's mission is the management of flood waters and floodplains to protect life and property; reducing flooding by using environmentally sound practices; enhancing water quality, riparian habitat and wetlands; and improved access to the river for recreation.
• Truckee River Information Gateway (TRIG) - TRIG is a clearinghouse of water quality data and information pertaining to surface waterbodies in the Truckee Meadows.  TRIG is, in part, supported by funding from the Truckee Meadows NPDES STormwater permit holders (Washoe County is on eof the members).
